80s and 90s inspired guitar-led popsters

Taking cues from the cream of the 80s and 90s alternative guitar scene, Abstraction Engine walks the tightrope between indie guitar textures and outright pop bangers.

Boasting a mix of indelible melodies, earworm guitar lines, atmospheric keyboards and the hardest working rhythm section this side of the Ridgeway, their current set contains at least one moment of noise pop perfection and the best song Duran Duran never wrote.

Also known to throw in a semi-ironic cover version on occasion, it’s entirely possible that you could hear your favourite guilty pleasure played alongside some of your new favourite songs.

Local festy gigs coming up!

We’re concentrating on finishing up our album for the most part, but we’re happy to announce we’ll be squeezing in performances at some lovely summery festivals this year – Live at the Park – Faringdon, Follyfest and Longfest to name a few! We’d love to see you at some, or all of them!

We’re a 4-piece band from villages dotted around Oxfordshire.

We play a mix of covers and our own songs. We love all styles of music from 90’s Indie to 90’s Rock and everything in between.

Find us on Facebook or Youtube – or contact us through this here website to chat about booking us for some kind of event or something.

We’re based on the Oxford side of Swindon and available to play in pubs, at festivals, fetes, fancy barbecues, luxury yacht gigs, that sort of thing – as long as it’s not too far away and/or in an active war-zone.

At reasonable rates, too.

So get in touch to find out if we can make your event noisier!
